University students who spend quality time with friends and family often experience greater mental well-being. However, at the University of Washington, many students face stress when it comes to planning visits. With demanding academic schedules and other responsibilities, students often feel they cannot dedicate the time or energy needed to plan activities for their guests, even though they value these moments together. Our design team aimed to ease this burden by helping UW students spend less time worrying about logistics and more time enjoying meaningful memories with their loved ones.
Dally Deck is a hybrid physical card deck and mobile app that helps University of Washington students effortlessly create meaningful, personalized visit experiences for friends and family.
Our team is comprised of four Human Centered Design & Engineering undergraduate students at the University of Washington. We worked on this project from September 2025 to March 2026 as part of a two-course series (HCDE 302 and HCDE 303). These upper-division courses required us to spend time researching and designing a product like industry-level designers.
